The proof is in the...tea. Each lollipop is made from the finest ingredients and at the center of it all is herbal tea. The use of herbs to maintain overall well-being is surely the oldest form of alternative medicine and, as a result, they have contributed a great deal to human health. Thus it is no surprise why we've selected herbal teas as our cornerstone.

Happy Diwali!

Diwali, or Deepavali, is the Indian festival of lights. In India, Diwali is the happiest of all the holy holidays. The ancient Hindu festival is celebrated during Autumn every year and typically the festival is celebrated over the course of 5 days. The main night of Diwali is on the night of the darkest, new moon. The festival signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil and hope over despair.

To celebrate this wonderful holiday, people clean, renovate and decorate their homes. Hindus will also dress up in their best clothes or they’ll head out and splurge on a new outfit for their celebrations. They light the diya – the lamps and candles – inside and outside their home and participate in the family puja. After the prayers are finished, families set off fireworks, eat a big feast that includes mithai, or sweets, and then presents are given.

Diwali marks the beginning of a new, and hopefully prosperous, year that will also be full of happiness. We’d love to see how you’re celebrating so tweet us and show off your lights and love on Twitter!

We here at Dosha Pops want to wish all of our Hindu friends a wonderful and bright Diwali!
