Hangout with the Zombies- Dancing Zombies, that is, this Halloween
For the past 11 years, the Thriller NYC Zombie Dancers have celebrated their collective love of gore and Michael Jackson by performing the Thriller dance in the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade and by being showcased in several ways. The dancers all come from different backgrounds and age ranges, with their dance experience ranging from novice to professional. Joining the team this year is Dosha Pops’ very own, Peggy Andrews.
In addition to the Halloween parade, the group will be performing live at a Halloween-themed wedding and on the Manhattan t.v. channel, GingerNewYork. The network, which launched in November, 2010, can be found on Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN.) Since it’s launch, it has been showcasing the “Kool Kats…Gotham Nights” phenoms of music and culture of New York and beyond. GingerNewYork’s host Ginger Broderick holds unique insight, connection, and pulse on the music and culture of Gotham, making the network one of the most sought after programs to appear on.
GingerNewYork can be seen in Manhattan on Time Warner Cable channel 34, Fios channel 33, and RCN channel 82, every Friday at 2 p.m. EST. Not in Manhattan but want to show your support? Live stream it on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network’s website, www.mnn.org, channel 1. If you’re in the area, you can always stop by the live taping at the MNN studio.
A zombie-themed dance segment, fun costumes, and Dosha Pops for the trick-or-treaters make for a perfect Halloween!
