The proof is in the...tea. Each lollipop is made from the finest ingredients and at the center of it all is herbal tea. The use of herbs to maintain overall well-being is surely the oldest form of alternative medicine and, as a result, they have contributed a great deal to human health. Thus it is no surprise why we've selected herbal teas as our cornerstone.

You Are What You Eat: An Intro to Eating Ayurvedic

For those who are looking to make a lifestyle change, the Ayurvedic diet is a step in the right direction. Dedicated to balancing the mind, the body and the soul, switching to Ayurveda can bring balance to your life in a multitude of ways. An Ayurvedic diet doesn’t only consist of a food diet–it’s a full-on commitment to wholesomeness, inside and out.

The best thing about maintaining an Ayurvedic diet is that there is no guesswork. First things first, when you begin your Ayurvedic journey, you must take a test to find your Dosha type. Some people can be a combination of two doshas, with one being more dominant than the other. As soon as you’ve pinpointed which dosha is your main one, you can start making changes to satisfy it.

The three doshas of ayurveda are Kapha, Pitta and Vata. Kapha usually relates to those with larger body types. Diet-wise, Kaphas should reduce their consumption of oily/fatty foods, sweets, and salt. When they prepare meals, they should concentrate on using lots of different spices, large amounts of vegetables and maintain a high-fiber diet.

Pitta usually relates to those with medium/moderate body types. Pittas should make sure that they avoid hot spices, alcohol, coffee and other acidic food. They should focus on eating more juicy and sweet fruits like melons and mangoes.

Vatas are the slenderest of the body types. Vatas should avoid crunchy/dry food, any carbonated drinks and cold or raw vegetables. They should concentrate on eating cooked vegetables, soups, oatmeals and hot milk.

There are endless amounts of information when it comes to maintaining your Dosha. Once you’ve gotten the hang of it, it will all become second nature. Being able to maintain a balance in your dosha will do wonders for your mental health, emotional health and especially your physical health. We promise to bring you all the information you could possibly need to maintain your new lifestyle. Remember, we’re on the same journey you’re on!
