The proof is in the...tea. Each lollipop is made from the finest ingredients and at the center of it all is herbal tea. The use of herbs to maintain overall well-being is surely the oldest form of alternative medicine and, as a result, they have contributed a great deal to human health. Thus it is no surprise why we've selected herbal teas as our cornerstone.

Tips for Choosing Your Perfect Juice Cleanse!

According to Ayurveda, your health depends on your diet, and the way you eat affects both mind and body. Juice cleanses are the latest diet craze, but do Ayurvedic experts approve? Yes! They rid your body of toxins, however, they should not be used excessively and your reasoning for juicing should not be to lose weight. The intention of a cleanse should be to get back to a healthy and balanced state.

Your typical day on a juice cleanse should follow this routine: When you wake up, drink hot water with lemon or ginger. During the day, drink coconut water as a snack, and before bed, drink herbal tea. Have juice four times throughout the day: for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert! A general tip: drink your body weight in ounces of water all day long to stay hydrated.

The most important step in your cleanse is selecting ingredients for your juices. These ingredients should correspond with your Dosha type: Kapha, Pitta or Vata. Each type is known for certain health issues, which is why ingredients are specific to each type. Kaphas tend to have a slow metabolism. It is especially important for them to reduce oils and fats in their diets. Recipes that include celery, broccoli, cilantro blends, sunflower seeds, and cucumber work best for this Dosha type.

Pittas tend to have inflammatory conditions, like acid reflux. Pittas are recommended to drink a quarter cup of aloe vera juice or a half cup of pomegranate juice in the morning to counteract this. Watermelon, kale, and cucumber, asparagus, and broccoli are highly suggested, as well. Dr. Oz even adds cinnamon to his recipe as a delicious juice option for Pittas!

Vatas tend to have constipation due to high anxiety. The ingredients for this Dosha type’s cleanse should help boost immunity and balance digestion. Vata Dosha types should stay away from cabbage, kale, and celery because they are heavy vegetables. Dates, avocado, sweet potato, almond milk, beets, and fresh ginger are recommended for this type of juice cleanse. The combination of these ingredients makes a perfect juice for Vata types!

Juicing is healthy for your body, but only if you are doing it right. Make sure to do your research before committing to a cleanse. Pick the right ingredients for your body type because each type needs different nutrients. Finally, hydrate hydrate hydrate! Now, you’re ready to begin. Ready, set, go!
