Bringing Dosha Pops to the Mass Market
I decided to test the public opinion of Dosha Pops by participating in local events. Through my life coach’s company and college alumni association, I was able to participate in my first two large public events.
Before I could test the public’s opinion of Dosha Pops at these events, I needed a logo, business cards and packaging. Luckily, I have some truly talented friends who helped me with some of the clever branding. For example, the Dosha Pops logo incorporates lollipops and tea leaves which represent my herbal tea lollipops.
I also needed customer feedback forms and lollipop displays. Through recommendations, I was able to have both these things designed in time for my first official event. The customer feedback forms from this event were all positive. Plus I got additional requests for Dosha Pops at future events.
Now that I confirmed that people like my lollipops, my next goal was to sell Dosha Pops to the public. Before I could sell to the public I needed to create a formal business, get food permits, insurance and find a commercial kitchen. All of these steps were fairly easy except for finding a commercial kitchen. Eventually, I found the perfect commercial kitchen space for my small artisanal candy making business.
I decided to sell Dosha Pops to the public through e-commerce. Thus, I needed a website and website content. A friend’s company created my website. The website content was written with the help of a food writer friend, a nutritionist and a marketing expert. Thanks to a fellow co-worker, I found a great food photographer who created my product shots and portraits. Additionally, a make-up artist friend helped me with the self-portrait photos.
Once the website is finished, Dosha Pops will be available to the mass market!
